Greetings all!  I hail from Newnan, GA USA which is about 30 miles southwest of Atlanta on I85.  My first computer was a 1982 SInclair ZX81 1K, later upgraded to 48K.  I retired in 2013 as a CIO in the financial services sector.

Now I do personal research into many OS systems that I didn't have time to do when I was working.  My current OSs of interest are Windows 98SE with 4 GB RAM (Yes, it can be done) and Linux with 64MB RAM. Two extremes, I know but this is just for fun - because I can :) !

Welcome to BC !

You sound daft enough to fit in here just like the last piece in the jigsaw puzzle. 98SE was a pretty good OS, I ran it for a few years until XP came out and had had time to mature. Have you ever managed to utilise 64GB of RAM in Linux ?

64MB yes, 64GB no :) !

I got into Toshiba Librettos in the early 2000's and quite a few folks were able to get Linux loaded on their Toshiba 100CT & 110CT Librettos.  I'm building an intermediate box with 512MB to test various Linux releases before I put it on my Libretto.
