Smartphone charger for non smartphone

Hi,

Is it totally safe to use a Samsung smartphone charger for a non smart phone?

Other than having the correct connector you need to make sure the voltage is the same between the smartphone and non-smartphone charger. Also the charger of the smartphone needs to have the same or more amperage.

It's the other way around, I'm asking specifically about a non-smartphone with a smartphone charger.

I understand. Both chargers must be the same voltage. The smartphone charger has to have an amperage equal to or greater than the non-smartphone charger. If the smartphone charger has less amperage than the non-smartphone it will overheat.
