I currently have Adobe Acrobat XI Standard 11.0.22

Adobe Air v.27.0.0.124

Adobe Flash Player 27 NPAPI v.27.0.0.183

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC v.17.012.20098

I also have Adobe Acrobat 5.0 (no longer supported).

Questions:  Is there anything that Acrobat 5.0 does that the above 4 programs do not do?

The recommendation is to uninstall 5.0 and install Acrobat DC

Please advise.

Thanks

II

Acrobat Distiller is the expensive product that allows you to create your own .pdf files; the Reader only allows you to read .pdf files, not edit or create them. I use the Foxit reader which does both and is free. Many of the Acrobat Reader upgrades are basically security patches since .pdf files can be compromised.
