That is something I had never even thought about, so I went and tried it !

My wireless mouse - a Logitech - will work at 15 feet or thereabouts so I presume the matching keyboard would as well. The problem was seeing the mouse cursor and any detail on the screen at all. You are going to need the screen a lot closer than 15 feet, or a very big screen.

Well it depends are you using it for couch gaming?

Perhaps a HTPC?

Or something you can use in bed while surfing in netflix/youtube/hulu whatnot?

hi,i am using a 58" Samsung flat screen TV,also the reasoning i used the 15' distance was that is the distance where WiFi i have read becomes less reliable and at 76  yrs. old i can see the cursor just fine my only problem i have is i think i am going blind as i did not see old age sneaking up on me.

Just for the record, your wireless keyboard and mouse are not using WiFi connectivity.   Some use Bluetooth but most use a proprietary short-distance wireless connection.
