Welcome to Bleeping Computer.

The 32GB of RAM is probably over kill.  I've had 32GB since 2012 and don't think I've ever come close to maxing it out.  16GB would probably be more than enough.  Check out some of the games you want to play to see how much RAM their recommended PC has.

The SSD is small for doing video work.  I'd probably go up to at least the 500GB model and possibly toss in a 4TB mechanical drive for backups and long term storage.

You could do with cheaper motherboard. Also video card is very expensive and IMO does not offer enough to justify price. Video card choice also depends on which monitor you are going to use.

As above, SSD is pretty low end for that kind of system. I would take something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/g8mxFT/corsair-force-mp500-480gb-m2-2280-solid-state-drive-cssd-f480gbmp500

SSD prices are insane right now so that's why "only" 480GB one.

What video card do you recommend for HD videos?

If you want Nvidia, even cheap one like GTX1050 is good enough.

But what monitor?

New Egg has the Seagate Externals on sale today.  I got coupon codes for another $10 off.  Since New Egg coupons are tied to e-mail address I can't share, sorry.

I've bought a bunch of the 8TB Seagate Externals for the drives inside, because they are cheaper than purchasing the drive itself.  The only problem is you can't pick what drive you get.  Most of the drives were the Archive drives, the last two were Barracudas.   I pull the drive and install them in my Drobo 5N boxes.

My question is if this is a professional media content creation build or something you are doing for a hobby?

Not saying Threadripper is bad as its a beast but you may not need enthusiast grade hardware and at enthusiast grade pricing.

Threadripper is made for those who are really serious about going all out, its a good option and better than Intels enthusiast grade right now but is it necessary in your use case?
