I have a Windows 10 laptop running Pro 64 which I want to connect to my Microsoft Wireless Adapter. I installed the Wireless Adapter app from the Windows Store and was able to see the Wireless Adapter when I opened up the Project Screen and selected the Wireless Adapter option.  However, after displaying that the adapter was connecting to the adapter it would disconnect and nothing would be displayed.

I noticed that the laptop had not been updated due to an error when installing the last Windows 10 update so I selected the fix option and proceeded with the update.  This was a rather large update and it took close to an hour to install and configure.  I thought this would address my problem but now when I go to the Project Screen the option for wireless adapter is no longer there.

I have:

- installed and re-installed the wireless network adapter and reset all network adapters

- re-installed my AMD driver

- attempted to discover the wireless display adapter through the Bluetooth discovery tool

- run the Microsoft driver diagnostics and checked my dxdiag drivers are all signed

I can connect to the adapter from my Surface Pro 3 with no issues.

I tried to get help from Microsoft but after running their freely available troubleshooter which did not identify any issues they wanted $149 for some troubleshooting support service.

Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated!  Thanks in advance.
