Hello Everybody!

I'm Pam & I have kind of an emergency. I use Windows 7 Home Premium. When I start my Computer & click on Avira the computer will shut down & restart. Then I get the blue

screen saying something Is wrong & It shutdown to prevent damage.  This happened 3 times today, so I'm suspicious that i may have malware or worse.

Any help Is MUCH appreciated.

Thank you,

Pam630

Hello Pam630,

Don't touch Avira.

Download and install Malwarebytes (free download) and run it.

https://www.malwarebytes.com/

If that doesn't work run Norton Power eraser.

https://security.symantec.com/nbrt/npe.aspx

Run Malwarebytes first and then run Norton Power eraser.

Follow the prompts carefully when using Norton Power eraser.

If ether one of these whats to remove Avira let it.

If all returns back to normal the install anti-virus again.

I use Avira free and have no complaints and it does sound as though that you may have malware or a virus of some type.

My 2 cents.
