Display on my notebook isn't working.

My ASUS Q200E notebook display has become unusable.  All I see is a blue-gray color with horizontal lines. 

Anything I can do to diagnose the problem or possibly fix it? 

I don't have an external monitor, but I do have a tablet and a laptop that might be adapted as external monitors?

It's running Windows 10.

my guess is the screen is bad, but the absolute best way to diagnose it is to hook it up to an external monitor to ensure its not the video card.
