Hi,

My PC crashed completely and I need to restart it by holding the restart button around 10-60 minutes after i launch a game.

The event viewer gives me 4 errors that pop up consistently just prior to the crash. Here they are:

First error: Application Popup Event ID 1060

The description for Event ID 1060 from source Application Popup cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\??\C:\WINDOWS\SysWow64\drivers\SECDRV.SYS

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

Second error: Service control manager Event ID 7000

The SecDrv service failed to start due to the following error:
This driver has been blocked from loading

Third error: DistributedCOM Event ID 10016

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{6B3B8D23-FA8D-40B9-8DBD-B950333E2C52}
 and APPID
{4839DDB7-58C2-48F5-8283-E1D1807D0D7D}
 to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

Fourth error: Same as third error, same second. It alwasy appears twice.

Any help is very appreciated!

Say thank you to Digital Rights Management (DRM) - The driver, secdrv.sys, is used by games which use Macrovision SafeDisc. The driver validates the authenticity of games that are protected with SafeDisc and prohibits unauthorized copies of such games to play on Windows.

Provided this is a purchased game you may be able to work with the company to resolve the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion.

To clarify, it this does not happen with A game but with ANY game. So not an older game with a cd licence issue.
