I got this error in device manager:

this device cannot start. (code 10)

So I went to this webpage https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/solved-this-device-cannot-start-code-10/

and it told me to uninstall the driver and download the driver again. I uninstalled the driver completely but I cannot reinstall the driver. Each time I begin to reinstall the driver the software closes upon opening. How to fix my BT?

specs
Windows 10 home

toshiba satellite p55w-c5200x

the hardware for the bluetooth is unknown

Visit Toshiba support website and download bluetooth driver.

I downloaded several of the files and they will not install. After extracting to temp folder it closes immediately. I also did a repair install just now and bluetooth still has problems. Warranty has expired.

edit

I got it to work by going to driver > update driver> browse my computer for software> let me pick from a list of available drivers
