What the actual heck happened? Physical Tampering?

So confused at my parents bedroom laptop the laptops main drive was renamed to the name of to that of Saberent which was the external enclosure which had a broken hard drive inside it. Why would the broken hard drive have renamed C:\ it was not even plugged in to my knowledge.


Now weird part is the drive's document folder/picture folder are almost empty its had windows 10 on it for 4 months definitely should have had more the one document inside. And the external drive an iomega that isn't near laptop but sitting on desk has almost or close to all of it on the laptop!


I don't get it would have taken forever to copy all that over from the drive to the laptop via usb. (if someone had access)


All my pcs shares are off
