Hello and thanks for any help you can provide. It's been a while since I've been on this forum, so I hope I'm following the right procedure.
I recently built my first AMD computer (I've done 5-6 Intel PCs before) and I'm running into some strange issues. Here are the specs:
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-AX370-Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Storage: Samsung - 960 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Storage: Hitachi - Ultrastar 7K4000 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB ACX 2.0 Video Card
Case: Fractal Design - Focus G (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair - TXM Gold 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Lite-On - iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer
Wireless Network Adapter: Gigabyte - GC-WB867D-I REV 4.2 PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter
Monitor: LG - 27UD58-B 27.0" 3840x2160 60Hz Monitor
Running Windows 10, primary use is Adobe CC photo and video editing & light gaming.
The crashes have been happening randomly, usually when browsing the internet using Google Chrome. If music is playing, it will hang/stutter then stop, and the displays will go down. Strangely, the rest of the PC stays on and no commands will register until the computer is restarted. This can happen as quickly as 10mins after waking from sleep and hasn't been observed with any other actions (playing games, editing video).
I'm planning on uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome, but can you help me figure out what else I need to do?
