Hi,
I've tried everything I can find on the internet to remove some malware on my wife's computer which runs on windows 2000. Vundofix doesn't work and it seems I have a bad file (xxyvvur.dll) which I can't find any mention of on the internet.

Here is the Hijackthis log.

Post logs from normal, not safe mode

You may have an older version of Vundofix so redownload the following and give it time to run - it may require reboots

Please download http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4 to C:\
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES.
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
Turn your computer back on.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HijackThis log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Hi and thank you very much for your help.

I have done exactly what you have said and the computer now seems to be clean but I would appreciate it if you could confirm this and tell me if there is anything else that I should do.

Here is my hijackthis.log and vundofix.txt files.

Hi again,
I've done as you said, except that with Windows 2000 I don't think there is a system restore. I have scanned the computer with both avast and ewido and removed a large number of viruses / trojans / worms. I'm hoping its now clean.

Here is the new hijackme log.
