That's the error I keep getting at my BSOD. I got this error a few months ago, which prompted me to send in the machine for warranty repair (suggested by the tech support team). I got the machine back a few weeks ago and last night I got the BSOD again. It would happen randomly, but usually while I'm gaming (Overwatch). Last night it happened after about an hour or so of gaming.

Memtest 86 had no errors. I tried to use Driver Verifier, but I got stuck in a new BSOD loop and had to system restore it back. Before sending the machine in for repairs, I tried clean installing Windows and that didn't fix the problem.

Sager NP8172-S (Clevo P670RP6) Laptop

Windows 10 64-bit (pre-installed original OS)

11 months old (just got it back from warranty repair a few weeks ago though)

Intel core i7-6700HQ

Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060

Thanks.

syntp.sys is the driver for your Synaptics TouchPad

Start by:

- downloading the latest, W10 compatible version from the Sager/Clevo support website for your model

- uninstall the current Synaptics software

- install the freshly downloaded software

- monitor for further BSOD's

Your UEFI/BIOS (version 1.05.07RLS2) dates from January of 2017.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  This is just in case there has been a more recent update.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).

Only 3 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most build 15063 (1703) systems have more than this.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available Windows Updates.
The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

Also blamed in the BSOD's is the Qualcomm wireless driver (Qcamain10x64.sys).

Please:

- download the latest, W10 compatible Qualcomm Atheros wireless driver from the supplier

- uninstall the current Qualcomm Atheros wireless driver from the system

- install the freshly downloaded driver

- monitor for further BSOD's

Please update these older drivers.  Links are provided in order to assist you with looking up the source of the drivers.
If unable to find an update, please uninstall the program that is responsible for that driver.

DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable!!!:

Thanks for the reply!

The driver I have for Synaptics Touchpad is newer than the version available on the Sager site. The version number is also in red on the Sager site so I'm not sure if that means to stay away from that or not.

I updated the wireless driver.

I checked for Windows Updates and it seems like I'm good.

I don't understand how to find some of the additional drivers you mentioned. You were nice enough to provide links and I appreciate that, but the Egis link doesn't work, I don't know where to find SvThANSP.sys or panda_url_filteringd.sys, and even after I find them I don't know where they go, so I don't know how to update whatever they need to update. I also don't know where XtuAcpiDriver.sys and iocbios2.sys are supposed to update.

Sorry, I'm not that good with computers.

Thanks.

Not a problem - we're here to help.

In general, you should use the Synaptics TouchPad driver from the Sage site - but as yours is newer, I'd suggest leaving it alone.

The SvThANSP.sys driver is likely available from the Sager/Clevo support site for your model.

Do you have a link to them (I couldn't find it)?

The Panda driver is likely from the Panda Protection installed on your computer.

Simply uninstall this, then download and install a fresh copy in order to update it.

Same goes for the Egis biometric scanner (?fingerprint scanner?).

The Intel XtuAcpiDriver.sys and iocbios2.sys  drivers are from the Intel Extreme Tuning utility and should be available at the Sager site also.
I wouldn't be as concerned with them, as they are more current than the others drivers listed above.

Thanks! My exact model (8172-s) isn't listed on the site, but the 8172 model is, so I'm assuming they're the same as far as driver support goes? Anyway here's the link to that:

https://www.sagernotebook.com/drivers.php?cat=648

I see a bunch of Intel stuff on the site but none that say Exteme Tuning utility and I also don't see the ScThANSP.sys

I also forgot to mention I don't know how to update UEFI/BIOS :(

Try this:  https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24075/Intel-Extreme-Tuning-Utility-Intel-XTU-

Install it and see if it helps.
If it doesn't, then uninstall it and see if that helps.

Good luck!

SynTP.sys has been giving me headaches ever since i purchased this clevo 770 dm which clearly is a horrible manufacturer, thermal paste jobs done by monkeys , non existant bios upates, abysmal support ressources full of errors, outdated and falsely labeled, and its godawful system software. For sure the last CLEVO i will ever buy and in the end i didnt save a buck either...btw SAGERS are Clevos.

Just writing this after another random bluescreen caused by that bug (im not even using the damn touchpad or the keyboard, im using a usb keyboard and was typing a comment and BAM bluescreen, and trust me...nothing fixes it ..you just think its fixed and it will come back eventually some day.
