Hello,

I asked a question a few days ago for some feedback on malwarebytes,

I have run that program in safe mode and regular mode and malware bytes hangs up and won't move.

As far as I know the program is up to date.

I have thoughts on being infected with a virus of some kind that is blocking malwarebytes was my thinking.

but any feed back is appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Your windows is likely damaged and needs to be repaired
  • Malwarebytes is completely unusable and dangerous from version 3.1.x, it may be very harmful for your system.
(It is now a money making machine, not a tool for a computer user.)

I'am sorry I meant adwcleaner is hanging up on me. and will not perform.

My windows is not likely damaged.

At least I do not think it is.  it performs well.

Really, I did not know this, can you produce some documentation on this?

@zainmax, that's ludicrous!  Send me to their site to provide evidence of Their Product being: "Malwarebytes is completely unusable and dangerous from version 3.1.x, it may be very harmful for your system.

(It is now a money making machine, not a tool for a computer user.)"

They are a business, do you go to work for free?  That is not documented proof of the above, not even close?

I also trust bleepingcomputer, and they have this on their download site:

@rp-57, Did you have other programs open while trying to run this?  I have run it many times but never had an issue, did you try Right Clicking on it to run it as Administrator?

Regarding the 'it's now a money making machine', they still offer the free version with a trial of the pro where real time protection exists, and if one opts out of the paid version, the free will scan and remove any threats in their database, which was how I used it for years.

zainmax is correct, Malwarebytes of yesterday is gone and is total junk now. I have 5 lifetime license and use NONE of them. You can go to the Malwarebytes forum and easily see what we are saying is true. All versions since 3.1 have been major malfunctions and it seems they want to it keep that way. https://forums.malwarebytes.com/forum/7-malware-removal-for-windows/ (check out the continuous problems)
