Hi,

Since the latest Windows 10 updates, Chrome keeps freezing up and then my internet will cut out (just on this device, all other devices in the house are fine).

Currently I have uninstalled Chrome and I'm using Edge and the internet hasn't dropped yet. However when I'm in Chrome and it freezes and the try to switch to Edge, neither work and I have no internet access.

I've uninstalled all my anti-virus, ran ccleaner, updated all my drivers, ran malware scans and I'm still having this issue.

Ideally I don't want to ditch Chrome so if there's a fix that'd be great.

I've attached my FRST logs just in case my computer is infected.  Mod Edit:  Removed FRST data, not allowed or used in this forum (this forum does not analyze malware logs) - Hamluis.

Thank you.

What was the last update installed?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

That was the Author's update version 1703, this update corrected a number of issue Microsoft's previous update/s caused.  So I don't believe this is related to updates.

Have you tried reinstalling Chrome?

Hi

Yes I've just reinstalled Chrome and within a minute it has froze up and crashed again, knocking my internet off too.

Just to provide a bit info on the updates installed:

2017-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4034674)

2017-08 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4034662)

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1703

Install the latest update for Windows 10: the Windows 10 Creators Update.

I believe since I installed the creators update I have had the issue

Hi, run chrome without any extensions (called safe mode) select the 3 dots (far right, top) and then tools, then extensions, disable all extensions OR run chrome in incognito mode, test how it goes for awhile.
