Hi,

Anyone know if it is possible to remove awful Carp Bundle of icons and links from default Start page of Pale Moon Browser?

I like the browser but the start page is awful.

I searched for Help and one person suggested the following:

Both Pale Moon and FOSSHub abhor piggybacking software or installer monetization. It will never be used.
It's possible the "driver downloader" was downloaded from an advertisement on FOSSHub -- they sometimes try to trick users into downloading junkware by sporting a large "download" button on the ad... :( I personally try to block all these kinds of ads from being displayed but it's a never ending task.

Any Help is appreciated!

Open a blank page and choose that as the start page. Do that by opening a website and then clicking to close the site but not the tab.

Open the General settings and choose Use Current Page for Home Page.

If the Start Page reverts to something besides a blank one then you need to scan for adware.

Thank you.

On Pale Moon homepage, I have tried every trick I know to bring up 'Options' and cannot find it under any link there.

I did open a blank page as suggested above. Just could not find a way to Save as Homepage. if you go to Pale Moon Start link below, you'll see why I wish to change it. I want to use this browser at my office...all the junk about movies, social media, etc. is completely useless and a distraction. it is apparently an agreement between pale Moon and start.me...maybe it cannot be modified.

The Only buttons I find on this Browser are History, a tab called Preferences that does not affect start page,

Don't you have a Tools button? If so, then click onTools then options and then click on the General button. I don't have Pale Moon but it is almost

identical to Firefox....which I do have. That image I posted is a Pale Moon image..

EDIT: Click on Preferences. That's what I do in my Linux Firefox to see that General button

In Linux....Edit > Preferences > General

I am blind as a bat!

Up in the top LH corner of Pale Moon Homepage is a drop down menu called "Pale Moon", and in that menu is Options and a Box just like the one you describe...in that box is an option: When Pale Moon starts:   Show a blank page and all the junk goes away.

Thank you!

It has just been a hectic day. Ha. Time to go to the gym.

Take care and thanks again.
