I would like document the info on a webpage from an online search re a corporation. The webpage does not display the day's date so the only documentation this info is on the web page on this date is the date it appears on my computer. I don't know if a computer expert could determine if that was the date it was first downloaded vs being moved to a new HD. I also print it out so I have the print date on the hard copy, but I'm in hurricane territory and I'd like to have a webpage in the cloud. My printer doesn't make such great copies and scanning things at this time is very time consuming.

Is there anyway to embed a download date when you save a webpage as an html or as a text file?

Right clicking on the file > Get Info > Created date should show the date you downloaded the file.
