I have successfully ripped dvds using dvd shrink
1. Put dvd that you wish to copy in the drive
2. Open dvdshrink
3.CLick on the "full disc" icon in the middle right of the screen
4.Click the compression settings tab make sure it is set to "automatic"
5. Click the button that reads "Backup"
6. It will than rip the dvd to your computer in order to burn it I always use the program dvd decrypter
