Here is what im building for Gaming and Video and Audio Production:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LMLs2R

For maximum bang for buck, should I get Intel and a diff motherboard? What would an Intel build look like with this? Or should I stick with AMD?

I've used Intel before not AMD.

I'd like to know before I start buying everything tonight. Thanks.

If you are not even set on a motherboard...then it's impossible to be set upon CPU/RAM.  Does it really make a diffetence to you...what anyone suggests?

Please post the specs of the current system that you are using for "Gaming and Video and Audio Production."

As you threw in the "and video and audio production", which seems to imply some actual work uses, then more cores might help, so I'd start with the R7-1700/B350 MB combo, if you don't mind OCing a little to boost gaming performance....

(if budgetary constraints interfere, the R5-1600 OC'd also will do nicely, I'd think....)

If you elect to purchase the motherboard you have listed in your pcpartpicker, your only option is an AMD CPU, compatible AMD CPU's in the link below.

CHIPSET AMD X370

MEMORY TYPE

If you wish to stay with Intel, that you have used in the past, you'll need to find an Intel motherboard. Your budget will guide you to what Intel motherboard model fits, then you can return to pcpartpicker (as a source) to find your other components! :)  Let us know how it goes and for other opinions/suggestions!

Go with whatever fits your budget for your own particular usage habits. You can get that with either AMD or Intel.

For video production AMD is your best bet, if only for gaming Intel.

AMD can do gaming but Intel is still a little better in that area, still though cant go wrong with ryzen.
