You'll need to restart the VMware Authorization services. Open the Services console (services.msc) scroll down until you find that service. If it isn't started, right-click it and select Start.

If it is already started, then the service requires administrator rights. You will need to uninstall Workstation, log in as the local admin, and reinstall VMware Workstation. https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1007131
