When I copy, and paste text from a forum that has black background with white text into my MS Office 2000 word program, it copies as white text, with black background. How do I change this to display as black text on white background?

Hi larry31, I am not able to replicate a black background with white text, however give this a try:

*Select your text (Ctrl A)
*Click on Borders, then Borders and Shading
*Click on Shading tab
*Select No Color

You will not see your white text. So...
*Use Ctrl A to select the text you can't see
*click Font Color and select Automatic Black

Another workaround is to have Notepad open, and paste first into Notepad, then copy the pasted text again - it will no longer have any formatting.

Thanks to you both for reply.

I did find a way to place copied white text with black background into my Word document as black text with white background.

After copying the text with black background, I open Word, select...  [Edit]  [Paste Special] and select "Unformatted text" then [OK]

The text is pasted into my document as black text, with white background.

Thanks again.
