Hi there people.

I've here a Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo T computer. It's a computer of a friend of mine that I had to format.
For what he told me, between the morning and the afternoon the USB ports stopped to work.
At the first time I though it was a problem with some virus....

Finally I formatted yesterday the PC, I installed XP prof and SP2 too, checked the USB drivers (they are the same as another computer that I've, where the USB works correctly), but the problem is still here!

When I try to insert for example an USB-Pen, I can't see anything on the screen.
I checked the BIOS and the USB ports are "Enabled", I checked into the computer and the 4 ports (2 already in the MOBO on the back and 2 on the front connected with a cable) are connected correctly.

PS: I installed all the drivers that I found on the fujitsu siemens website!

What's the problem for you?

Is there a conflict in the drive designations for your drives and the USB drives? (2 devices with the same drive letter?)

Go to Start...Run...and type in "diskmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Then check the drive letters for your devices to see if this is the problem. If it is, just change the drive letters and it should work.
