Hello. Does anybody know how to remove the virtual write-protect tab on a virtual blank C64 floppy disk? I tried attaching the disk to drive 8, then clicking on "Create Image", but that didn't work. I tried renaming the blank floppy, and clicking on "Create Image" again, but that didn't work either. Can somebody give me some specific instructions on how to remove the virtual write-protect tab or how to format the virtual disk?

Check to see if the individual file is write-protected, or if the folder it is located in is write-protected.

Or you can right-click the hypervisor program you are using and select "Run as administrator"

This is usually a permissions issue, as there is no write-protect slider tab on a virtual floppy disk.
