From the outset let me say I have been grateful to use the BleepingComputer.com forums before, and I understand that this may take a while. I would be happy to pay to have this fixed. But I am also happy to follow good advice.

Bought refurbished Dell Precision M6600 (Alienware gaming computer clone) from eBay around April 2015

I have been pretty happy with it for two years, but at some point the performance graphics card went out and a tech removed it, so I was running the on-board graphics card until...

Tech recently installed a performance graphics card and SSD.

==Problems==

Lately Windows 10 has been performing very poorly.

-Firefox scripts hang

-Skype crashes

-My file copy batch files occasionally slow to a crawl

And AutoCAD in particular takes forever to start and open drawings. Yesterday I thought certainly it had frozen up, suddenly to see the drawing editor ready after far longer than 10 minutes.

My battery charging icon has started saying "plugged in, not charging"

Restarting sometimes makes things improve for a while.

==End problems

I've been trying various things. I tried to run ClamAV twice, but it stops on a particular file.

But first it finds C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\HydraVision\HydraGrd.exe: Win.Trojan.Parite-1025 FOUND

I have not lately run CCleaner. I am willing to reinstall Windows 10 clean if that is what's necessary. But that's a pretty big re-installation hit, so if there's another solution, I may as well find it first. And no use guessing, especially if it's a hardware problem anyway.

I am attaching the report from sysinfo32

i would run some malware programs like:

JRT junkware removal tool

ADWcleaner

both in the download section of this website, run JRT first, ADWcleaner will ask to reboot.

and see if they find anything then let us know if it resolves some or all your issues.

Thanks!

JRT found nothing.

ADW Cleaner found nothing today, but found something yesterday. See below.

Clam AV found something. See below.

How much RAM do you have?

Is the drive a mechanical drive or solid state drive (SSD)?

Which version of AutoCAD are you using?

RAM: 8 GB. "Never" appears overloaded in task manager. Usually running about 50% used.

DRIVES: C: is a new SSD with Program Files on it. E: is the old hard drive with data on it.

AutoCAD: I usually run version 2016. I also run 2017. And I have 2018 installed. Three installations.

By the way, I have not done any heavy lifting today (mostly eating and getting my son started at college), but my computer is behaving okay today.

Here are the system requirements for AutoCAD 2018.  Your machine seems to meet the requirements.  What is your display resolution?

At the moment my resolution is 1920x1080. I have been pretty happy with the performance of my system for two years until the past month or so sometime after the upgrades (SSD and performance graphics card) were done.

p.s. My battery icon does still say "plugged in, not charging". I assume that is a separate issue. Not sure if it's Windows or the hardware.

p.p.s. Please forgive me for pasting the "no results" ADWCleaner log above. I have edited the first post to contain the first log with the following results:
