A few minutes ago, I accidentely hit the power button on my extended outlet/surge protector. Now, I have done this many times on accident, so I just booted the computer right back up. Unfortunately, my computer would show the boot-up info, then go to a black screen and stay there indefinetely. It took me 30 min and lots of BIOS tweaking to get it to boot back up fully.

Now, I am sitting at my computer, afraid to turn it off. I was just wondering why this happened and what I can do to prevent it from happening again. Any help would be appreciated!
