Go here:  https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/products/groups/printers/inkjet-multifunction/

 

and navigate to the pages for the printers in question.  Print resolution is one of the basic technical specifications on any printer.  The higher the resolution the greater the detail.

 

You should also carefully consider the type of ink tanks each uses.  If one uses individual tanks and the other uses a tri-color cartridge you can be certain that your ink costs with tri-color cartridges will be significantly higher in the long run.
