Windows Xp Wont See Sata Hd In New Computer

i just built a new computer and im using a WD raptor hard drive but when i try installing XP home it says it cant proced cause it cant find a hard drive to install on? how do i fix this?

Read your motherboard book very carefully. You may have to install a SATA driver first.

Albert is correct, and the drivers should be on a cd that came with the motherboard.

Generally you'll have to extract this driver from the CD to a floppy. Then, when loading XP there'll be a message at the bottom of the screen to "Press F6 to load RAID/SCSI drivers". Insert the floppy and press F6.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
