My name is Roy and I live in Alabama(Roll Tide). I'm a handyman and good at repairing most things around the house, mechanical, electrical, electronic, etc. Sometimes I need help and that's where you guys come in. I've been here before for help and was very happy with the expertise of these folks. Sorry to say, I'm in a bad situation again with a PC. Looking for some more leadership on this one.

Roy,

Believe me, you are one among many who shares the sentiment that they love being here (and the help they receive) but hate the reason for having to be here in the first place.  If you believed every computer in the world operated in the way that those discussed here do, people would still be using pencil and paper!!  (The same is true on automotive forums, where most traffic is from folks having difficulties.  If you believed what's there is representative you'd believe automobiles never, ever move under their own power).

Try to pick a forum based on what you know or suspect about your problem.  If we need to escort you somewhere else as more becomes known you'll be shepherded to where you need to be.
