Hello, I have a few users who have had problems with MS Word closing on its own. They both use XP Pro (SP2) and they both use Office 2003 Pro. What basically happens is that the user will notice that the program will just close automatically when they multi-task with other programs: Outlook, Web, etc.

I tried looking on the Internet for a possible solution but I haven't seen anything really pertaining to this problem. Please provide me with a possible solution for troubleshooting this error. I haven't ruled out reloading the programs yet. Thank you much.

Hmm. I want to clarify a few things. You say this happens when the users are multi-tasking.

Does Word 'close' when they are actually using Word or when they are using a different application?

Have the users received a message saying that Word must close? If not:

Have the users in question opened task manager to see if Word is still listed under Applications?
