cant uninstall windows adk for windows 8.0

after a lot of pain i installed windows adk for windows 8.0 but i have windows 8.1 so i probally shouldent have installed the old one

anyway i cant uninstall it now

 

The error it says is the specified account already exists and it says check the log heres the log.

 

the log says

See this page. Try the command line uninstall. If it fails then try it in Safe Mode. Use an elevated command prompt as shown.

adksetup /quiet /uninstall

already tried dosent work

 

safe mode is not a option because you cant use windows installer

This may not be the best option but do you have a restore point before installing the ADK? Other than that I'm out of ideas.

no i dont im trying to fix it right now  i think its registry related for sure il tell you if i fixed it

ok so i think i managed to get rid of the old one now the new one dosent have a error instead gets stuck on updating settings i will try to fix it

ok with A LOT of messing about with things i finally got it working my self phew!

Nice. Thanks for taking the time to post the update. Would it be possible to list what you did to uninstall manually? This would help other people who search and find this thread.
