Howdy all,

After automatic updates from Microsoft messed up my sound (I have an Audigy 2 ZS), I needed to reinstall my drivers. That was no dramas, then realised that I still had the updated driver package on my hard drive, so I installed that.
Anyway, it uninstalled my old drivers and then rebooted, but after the reboot I didn't finish the installation (my fault). Anyway, whenever I try to utilise the updated drivers file, it comes up with this error:

"You have previously installed drivers without rebooting. Please reboot and try again"

So i reboot, but it does not work (same error appears).

Things I have tried so far (to no avail!):
System Restore
Installing drivers from CD and then trying again (same error)
Downloading updated drivers (there aren't any later than the one I have)

Things I need to know:
How do I remove the history of an installation attempt...?
How do I get it to install?

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks y'all.

Cleansweep and reinstall of drivers is what I do when my Audigy 2 ZS refuse to work.
