No problem creating a group distribution list and sending email to group from my desktop. I just start typing the group name and it pops up. However, I am not able to do the same on my iPad. Using the Gmail app or logging onto the full Gmail site, I can not bring up the group name. Apparently this is a common problem which no one seems to have an answer for. One source said you simply can not send a Gmail group email from an iPad. Another said you have to wait at 6 hours after creating the group list. Does anyone know how or if it is possible to send a group Gmail from an iPad? Thanks.

I do not have an iPad.  However, see:  https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Gmail+%22group+email%22+iPad&t=hq&atb=v33-7__&ia=web

Thanks. I have read all of those articles (I also use DuckDuckGo). There apparently is not a direct way to send group Gmail on an iPad. A couple folks have developed complicated workarounds which work for some but not others. Really not worth the effort.

As far as I can tell this is also true on Android devices in the Gmail app as well.  When I type the first few characters of what I know I have defined as a group name nothing pops up there, either.  This is in direct contrast to the web interface on the PC.
