I would report this to the developer of the add-on.  Chrome has received a number of significant updates recently, and if he or she has not been keeping up with them something could have finally broken their code.

I just use CTRL+T and you could until you get a response or notice that the add-on has been updated.

Thanks Britechguy

It’s not chrome tabs that are the problem, when I right click on a link it opens multiple windows of that link. I hope that makes sense. If I press ctrl+shift then left click link it opens in a new window, it was just easier to right click which I’m used to and I keep doing it

You could try clearing browser cache as a first step. If that does not work I would contact the developer. This still sounds like it could be a problem with code.

Well, I'm glad that your problem is fixed and that my theory about it being a code problem is confirmed by the developer!
