Hello and thank you again for having this forum.

A very weak question, I know, but I trust your expertise-whichever one of the members responds because I know you have more knowledge and experience than I.  And I understand everyone has their own opinion what is best.

Right now I am running Avast and Superanitspyware and Malwarebytes for an occasional scan.  Do these three seem to be good freeware options, or are there others out there that, for a general user, are widely preferable?

I have WIndows10 with a Dell Inspirion 15.

Thank you for your help!  Jcbsda

If you don't want or can't afford to pay, then I would recommend Kaspersky Free Antivirus, Sophos Home Free Antivirus, Panda Cloud Antivirus or Bitdefender Anti-virus Free Edition if you prefer not to use Windows 8/10 Defender or Microsoft Security Essentials, the free solution for Windows 7 and Vista SP1/SP2 that combines the features of an anti-virus and anti-malware scanner to provide real-time protection.

For other suggestions, please refer to Choosing an Anti-Virus Program.

I generally recommend Malwarebytes 3.0 Premium or Zemana AntiMalware as the backbone to supplementing your anti-virus software.
