Does anyone have a way to decrypt .726 GlobeImposter v2 files?

I reformatted my machine as soon as I realized it was infected. Did I make a mistake by formatting the system or is there still some way to recover my files using a decrypter?

No, GlobeImposter 2.0 is not decryptable, just as ID Ransomware will tell you if you uploaded a file. Your only option is to restore from backups.

Thanks I had seen it was GlobeImposter 2.0 but was hoping someone here might have another option to try.

All of my backups were on the external hard drive and it encrypted both the local and backup copies. I even have a complete system backup but even the bkf file is on the external drive and it's encrypted as well. There are countless irreplaceable files which is why I had 3 copies of everything!

Thanks for the reply.

Since the infection has been identified, rather than have everyone with individual topics, it would be best (and more manageable for staff) if victims posted any more questions, comments or requests for assistance in the below support topic discussion. To avoid unnecessary confusion, this topic is closed.
