Hi,

Just wondered if it is worthwhile using a Samsung account on a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone?  I already use a Google account.

Thanks.

I did create a Samsung account when ordering a new mobile battery from Samsung's web site.  However, I haven't found a compelling reason to add the Samsung account to my phone.  I prefer to use a Google account (for example to sync contacts) as it isn't tied down to a single manufacturer.

You are correct. A Samsung account is unnecessary to most people. Just use your Google account. Good luck!:)
