window 7 freeze after booting

Something happens yesterday, my win7 freeze.

Reboot, after opening few screens, will freeze again.

Start in safe mode, working OK.

Run malware, no problems.

Run Norton eraser, found and fix a registry error.

Still same problem.

Disable all start up programs, looks holding longer before freeze.

Please...boot into safe mode and do the following.

 

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.
 
Checkmark the following checkboxes:
  List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
  List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
 
Click Go and paste the content into your next post.
 
Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

   Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

    After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.
 
     Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):

     Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot.

     Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the ADD REPLY or REPLY TO THIS TOPIC button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Add Reply below the Reply box.

I tried also a clean boot, disabling services. Still is freezing after few minutes

First suggestion:  Move data files from C: partition so that there is always approximately 50GB free space in the C: partition.  The typical maxim for smaller hard drives is 15% of the partition space (in order for Windows to run smoothly).  My experience with newer/larger hard drives is that 15% of such partitions is much too large and 50GB or so will suffice.

Thank you for advice. My win 7 had no luxury even of 10 G for last years.

 

I tried Win 7 integrity and went OK

I tried HDD integrity and also OK

 

When I did a clean boot I noticed Norton still will start and enabled in services and when computer freezes, the icon in bottom right will disappear.

You have Norton disabled, this is probably why this is showing up in the Clean Boot. 

 

Why is the antivirus disabled?

 

Why are the Windows updates not enabled?

 

You have 4GB of RAM installed, but if you are running programs that are heavy draws on the RAM you could run into the hdd trying to compensate for the RAM by utilizing the swap space on the hdd.  But with only 1.13GB of free space the swap space is not going to be able to contribute if it is needed.  With the hdd this full you computer will be sluggish, the read and write times will be increased.  I would highly recommend that you purchase and install it and move enough files so that you have ample free space.  Louis's suggestion of 50GB isn't unreasonable with a hdd of this size.

 

In the interim you can defrag the hdd, run the Disk Cleanup tool.   I would suggest running AdwCleaner and Junkware Removal Tool to remove unwanted and or unneeded third party programs inadvertently installed when installing downloaded programs.   I would also suggest running Temp File Cleaner.


Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

It seems pretty clear to me that Norton is most likely the cause here. The MiniToolBox log shows that the following drivers (most are Symantec drivers) failed to load, slowing down the system:

The fact that Safe Mode loads fine further persuades me, as only a minimum set of drivers are loaded during Safe Mode. I would uninstall Norton (and any other Symantec software) and run their appropriate cleanup tools which will then remove all traces of Symantec files and drivers from your system. Since you'll be unprotected then, please install Microsoft Security Essentials as your AV temporarily.

Yes Norton was culprit. Happened before, bad update, but not so severe on computer.

Thank for advice for HD spare space. I was using it to the MB.

 

What to do with Norton? Fresh reinstall or to go with MS essentials ?

Glad to hear that your computer is back to normal. Since Norton is a paid-for product, I would complain to their support (or even their forums!) and tell them what happened and see what they'll do about it. Since you have no anti-virus installed currently, I suggest you install Microsoft Security Essentials temporarily for protection.
