Mod Edit:  Split from https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/642280/what-is-fe8d473a-6f06-4f99-b5f4-bed72b2a038c/ - Hamluis.

Hey,i have a very similar problem
adwcleaner tells me this folder

{FE8D473A-6F06-4F99-B5F4-BED72B2A038C}

 is a malware/adware/pup but cant remove it

but if i try to find it under c/programdata it isnt there (yes i have the settings set to show me hidden folders etc)
BUT if i go to check specific files with malwarebytes then i can see "

{FE8D473A-6F06-4F99-B5F4-BED72B2A038C}" in c/programdata

thats really really confusing me as i simply cannot find this folder in the windows explorer...so what exactly is it? adwcleaner says it dangerous,malwarebytes doesnt - you say its not dangerous and another post i found via google says it is confirmed malware..... what do i do now?

I see you are getting some answers here on the adwcleaner part of the Malwarebytes forum.
