I bought a ASUA Eee PC1000HE on Ebay. Previous owner installed WINS 7 with no recovery disk. I can't get pass the Bios password to change password setting. Made several attempts a failed. I want to install Mint on new created partition. I don't want to remove COSMO BATTERY.
SO I WANT TO KNOW CAN YOU REFORMAT THE WINS 7 PARTION C DRIVE THEN INSTALL THE NEW LINUX MINT?? THIS JUST A THOUGHT. THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY.

This is the third thread you have posted about this issue:

The first on the Windows 7 forum, now locked, https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/652906/how-to-reset-startup-bios-password/, where all respondents were directed to respond to this thread, also on the Windows 7 forum:

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/652176/reset-bios-password-asus-eee-pc1003he/

This thread on the Linux & Unix forum is being locked, as well.  BleepingComputer has a "one computer, one issue, one forum" policy so anyone wishing to respond should use the topic mentioned just above.

Please do not post another topic on this issue.  The response by member JohnC_21 on the above noted thread gives you a very good indication as to why you are not getting responses and are unlikely to get any more.
