Hello,

I was trying to help a friend of mine troubleshoot some issues with his headset... Well unfortunately I was poking around with the realtek audio manager and now my microphone does not pick up sound.

Windows detects my headset and microphone. I have them both set as the default devices. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for both Realtek and for the G933 as well as Logitech Gaming Software.

I also did a 'clean boot' to help check for issues with the headset and software incompatibilities

I thought that Logitech didn't rely on Realtek because this headset is connected via a USB dongle and not into a microphone or headset connection on the computer.

I can hear others and sounds just fine. However even if I touch the microphone, no sound is detected. I tried plugging it into another computer and I have the same results. I'm wondering if some setting is changed on the headset itself...

Any ideas? After so many reinstall and restarts, I'm stuck.

Edit: I can sometimes hear popping sounds when I unmute the mic. This did not used to happen. Perhaps my mic died at kind of an ironic time?

The fastest way to check and rule out the irony would be to try another microphone on borrow just to be sure, my friend.:)
