Windows defender detects these and quarantines, but no permanent fix as they keep appearing.

I have no clue what these are and how to fix this permanently.

I also have AVG PC Tuneup > Registry cleanup didnot help.

I also installed Avast premiere 2017 > Full Scan didnot turn up anything.

Did you install Avast after Defender quarantined those items or before? Suggest you uninstall AVG PC Tuneup.

Use the programs below to clean, remove adware and remove malware.

Use CCleaner to remove Temporary files, program caches, cookies, logs, etc. Use the Default settings. No need to use the

Registry Cleaning Tool...risky. Pay close attention while installing and UNcheck offers of toolbars....especially Google.

After install, open CCleaner and run by clicking on the Run Cleaner button in the bottom right corner.

CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

  • download Malwarebytes to your desktop.
  • Double-click mb3-setup-1878.1878-3.0.6.1469.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • Then click Finish.
  • Once the program has fully updated, select Scan Now on the Dashboard. Or select the Threat Scan from the Scan menu.
  • If another update of the definitions is available, it will be implemented before the rest of the scanning procedure.
  • When the scan is complete, make sure that all Threats are selected, and click Remove Selected.
  • Restart your computer when prompted to do so.
  • The Scan log is available throughout History ->Application logs. Please post it contents in your next reply.

Download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Scan button.
  • When the scan has finished click on Clean button.
  • Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
  • download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
  • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message

If it is a strong or annoying malware, Windows Defender might have issues removing it. I recommend doing a full system clean up, that should clear it up. Steps are below:

1. Restart your PC in “Safe mode with networking.”
2. Install and run RKill to kill malicious processes and services
3. Check your Programs and features and see if there are any new recently installed programs that you don’t recognize. If there are, remove them.
4. Do a full scan with anti-virus software of your choice or use Windows Defender to clean up initial infections.
5. In addition to above-mentioned removal tools, you could also try Hitman Pro and Zemana.
6. Clean up your Registry and Cached files with CCleaner (As mentioned above)
7. Restart your PC in normal mode and do an additional scan to confirm that the malware is gone.

This should clear up the majority of malware. Keep us posted about the results and if these steps helped you.

There is no reason to start the computer in safe mode. There is no reason to use CCleaner to clean the Registry.

There is no reason to use RKill at this point as security programs are not being blocked from running.

The OP has run a scan using Avast. Perhaps you missed that.

Nstiseo...I will have further comments after you have posted the logs of Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner and Junkware Removal Tool.

The AdwCleaner log doesn't show you allowed it to remove what it found. To be sure, rerun AdwCleaner and when scan finishes

be sure to click on Clean.

  • Please download Security Check by glax24 and save the file to the Desktop
  • Run the tool by accepting all the Security prompts
  • when complete the tool will produce a log file C:\SecurityCheck\SecurityCheck.txt and also copy the contents to the Clipboard
  • Simply Paste the log to your reply

I ran AdwCleaner again, same thing:

When I click Clean. It prompts me that it will close running processes> then I get the message :( Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We’re just collecting some error info, and then we’ll restart for you.

Are you saying that AdwCleaner is finding the same items but can't remove them even after rebooting the computer?

Did you download Malwarebytes from the link that I gave in my first post or was it already installed? If it was already installed

please uninstall it and then download and install from the link I posted and run another scan using it.

Uninstall uTorrent.  The free downloads at that site most often contain malware/ adware....some of the worse. Many are illegal, too.

Download and run the FREE online scanner from Free Virus Scan | Online Virus Scan from ESET | ESET

  • Place a checkmark in YES, I accept the Terms of Use, then click Start. Wait for ESET Online Scanner to load its components.
  • Select Enable detection of potentially unwanted applications.
  • Click Advanced Settings, then place a checkmark in the following:
    • Remove found threats
    • Scan archives
    • Scan for potentially unsafe applications
    • Enable Anti-Stealth technology
  • Click Start to begin scanning.
  • ESET Online Scanner will start downloading signatures and scan. Please be patient, as this scan can take quite some time.
  • When the scan is done, click List threats (only available if ESET Online Scanner found something).
  • Click Export, then save the file to your desktop.
  • Click Back, then Finish to exit ESET Online Scanner.

Hi buddy215,

Yes i downloaded Malwarebytes from your link only.

Free online scanner did not find anything and I have stopped getting the original problem.

This issue can now be marked as closed. Let me know if i should run any other checks.

Thanks again!

About MBAM...there was an item removed from the host file that indicated MBAM was installed using a cracked version.... in the past...obviously.

Good that you downloaded from my link.

If the problem is solved.....you're welcome...happy surfin'
