Hello,

I've been dealing with this issue for close to a month now with hundreds of dollars spent on "professional help". I keep getting the run around and "everything seems to be fine". It started with downloading a few free programs to extract data (contacts and pix) from my broken phone. My computer shut off immediately after one program and started this headache. Admin users being created on my laptop, events being set, constant adware, shortcuts and file names changing, Windows advising it's no longer valid and needs to be activated, redirects, Device Manager showing many bizarre things as if I'm not even running this HP laptop (many USB connections - when I have none connected, different hardware names, etc.), and at the time I really did think everything was being operated remotely somehow. Also tons of UAC notifications popping up.

(Random unplug noise of USB connections, many processes running when I wouldn't be running any, CPU usage close to 100% with nothing going on, harddrive memory incorrect)

A few hours later, my phone started weird processes as well. Downloading apps on it's own, especially new "system apps" that cannot being erased, developer mode turned on, VPN logs being created, emulated memory, constant sign out of Google accounts and request to sign in (phishing), wrong GPS location - showing a diff state, google keyboard changed to "Hinglish", results on the internet are very limited and almost filtered in a way to show purchasing options, videos, etc. for India -- X Product - buy with Rupees, many many random reboots, and noticed a lot of RCP type tools in the system settings (happened on a few other phones in the household too).

After attempting to do some basic troubleshooting I got to the point where I was no longer the Guest on my laptop and was able to see tasks setup. I figured I would do a full reboot and all would be fine. Wrong. Once the reboot occurred, the issues started right back up after a few hours (same with the phones, but the phones didn't even take longer than a few seconds to wipe all information.. as if it really didn't erase everything to factory). Fast forward a few days and it got to the point where it advised I have no C:\ drive and after doing another full reset it wouldn't boot the laptop up from the hard drive. Bios was ran via network and legacy. Once I disabled that option it advised I have no drive or even valid Windows.

At this point I took a couple devices to Geek Squad and they said they would just load Windows 8.1 back on there and clarify if I have a faulty drive and the computer would be just like brand new. Welp. I'm still having issues with the computer and getting assistance from them is ridiculous. They run a few tools and say everything looks fine. I have constant temp files even after I've clean them multiple times a day. I haven't downloaded much except Chrome, Zemana, and Farbar (some tools downloaded by Geek Squad still on computer). Both Chrome & Zemana have been removed since (supposedly.. I keep seeing folders for both). I logged into LastPass one time online (no software, don't have any) after Geek Squad, and I keep having to delete folders in temp that show Last Pass languages (about 150+). And per Farbar LastPass folder/files changed name to be associated with Webroot. Booted device in safe mode + network, only basic windows services and noticed battery and some control panel options couldn't be accessed because RCP server not available? Windows security access won't turn on. Chrome & IE keep showing developer options. Still a lot of adware, redirects, etc.
PS4 even started acting weird, showing I'm connected with mobile on it, even though I've never downloaded anything mobile for PS4.
Could my modem/router be infected? Changed SSID / Password (Oh forgot to mention on laptop there was a file that had credentials for modem login page, wasn't created by me). It shows SSID & SSID 2, even though I never created a 2nd. Also for the phones many google, facebook, and other apps acting really weird. Old versions, although says up to date (clearly isn't). 2FA being sent from 10 digit numbers instead of 5. I have logged on to the computer with the same credentials too.

Lastly over the past couple days, IE has been telling me my security settings won't allow downloads although I have reset to defaults and it shows downloads allowed. Some pages don't look "normal", sometimes zoomed in, different fonts, URL's always having extra information, etc.

Sorry for the long post, there are more details but I'm just rambling at this point. I do have some Farbar logs, booted up with option for log file, and did a chkdsk /r however somethings have changed over the past couple of days.

Any help is appreciated!
