First off, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this. Any help would be greatly appreciated, emergency situation I need to go on air soon and do not even have songs uploaded tagged etc and I am sick and disabled with chronic terminal conditions and this is just getting so frustrating as I spent an entire day trying to fix it yesterday until this morning and it was running fine again.

First thing that occurred was the Popup RDN\Trojan.worm!055BCC2742505 INFECTION window that wouldn't let me do a thing on my computer. I have a Aspire VX 15. I am just attaching everything I have photos from phone or screen shots for starting yesterday through today. Okay so first yesterday what I did was follow the steps to reboot in safe mode and remove trojan i found it said then open control panel from typing in appwiz into run etc and got to the control panel, I was not able to find any suspicious programs to uninstall but did uninstall stuff I did not need or was installed updated etc from the store on windows recently program wise.

I then typed in msconfig and was not able to even see the task manager as it kept flashing i couldn't get a picture even so I stopped and had to restart i did so and ran spyhunter and it found search-startpage.com(2 objects) and other things ill attach photos. I then was not able to pay for this so i used the free spybot or whatever its called and removed items. I also had used another program that had a 30 day free trial with security for banking install as well, deleted that today as well as all other 2 malware programs. The reason being is I went to sleep this morning with a computer running fine, today went to start getting my music ready for the radio show and the pop up that won't go away saying a problem has occurred in bitdefender threat scanner. A file containing error info has been created etc. (attached photo)

My computer has been running slow from the startup it sometimes is not responsive when the login screen happens. I had did a local sign in versus using my google microsoft log in and then reset up the windows sign in so i had what i needed on my computer. I now am not able to get this pop up to go away, i can't risk my job which mind you is nonprofit I advocate and try to raise awareness for parents with disabilities illness as I have a 3 year old and suffer from chronic medically emergent diagnoses and don't get any help or assistance her father works all the time just to barely get us by. (Regardless sorry for extra info) I support music i enjoy and am trying to make something for myself to get paid maybe someday so I can leave something for my daughter and fiance to have when I am not here any longer, as my medical conditions have drained all of our funds and we are past due on everything and well life is difficult I am positive and try to do good but stuff like this just gets on my nerves! lol

I just reinstalled Spyhunter 4 to at least see what is going on now. Now I am getting different results. I have attached those as well.

I also attached the screen shot of the developer settings in my windows control panel and the computer workplace i am not able to remove. I had purchased this from Lebbakens Rent to own and we have an agreement etc that i pay so and so amount and if i don't they come harass me to get it etc, so I am wondering if their is a way they are monitoring me I have tried to see that but is that why the inability to get rid of the workplace etc is going on. It still says Lebbakens as some of the names for file locations etc. I am the user metalmama they are lebbakens.

Please help, I can't lose my job, i literally am paying almost all my disability to have this computer as my last laptop was dropped on the floor by my toddler. Sorry for venting but yes this site fits my BLEEPING computer.

And since when do laptops not have cd drives? side note I needed a cd rom to upload my music lol and unfortunately did not check to see if this even had one hahaha, but did not know that in the three years since I have been sick etc not in the stores etc that cd roms were not a thing anymore on most computers.

I will attach all the issues I am having now. First program I used on 7.18 was spyhunter, then I realized I cant pay for it so I downloaded Spybot and another program. Spybot was 2nd results, last ones were the other image I have attached from 7.18. I uninstalled all of these today and once things acted up again I reinstalled spyhunter as it was the most accurate I felt, but does not fix anything. I have attached the results from today that are different than yesterdays as well.

 Thank you so much!

A frustrated sick mom who needs any help she can get!

Hello Metalmama and welcome to BleepingComputer.   Sorry to hear about your complications.

I am going to escort you over to the "Am I Infected?  What do I do?" forum, which is better equipped to address these sorts of issues regardless of what version of Windows they're occurring under.

Please uninstall security programs that you have installed to remove recent malware. They may interfere with the programs below.

Is there a POPUP telling you that you are infected with Popup RDN\Trojan.worm!055BCC2742505 ? If so, it may be a scam ad.

Use the programs below to clean, remove malware and remove adware.

Use CCleaner to remove Temporary files, program caches, cookies, logs, etc. Use the Default settings. No need to use the

Registry Cleaning Tool...risky. Pay close attention while installing and UNcheck offers of toolbars....especially Google.

After install, open CCleaner and run by clicking on the Run Cleaner button in the bottom right corner.

CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

  • download Malwarebytes to your desktop.
  • Double-click mb3-setup-1878.1878- and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • Then click Finish.
  • Once the program has fully updated, select Scan Now on the Dashboard. Or select the Threat Scan from the Scan menu.
  • If another update of the definitions is available, it will be implemented before the rest of the scanning procedure.
  • When the scan is complete, make sure that all Threats are selected, and click Remove Selected.
  • Restart your computer when prompted to do so.
  • The Scan log is available throughout History ->Application logs. Please post it contents in your next reply.

Download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Scan button.
  • When the scan has finished click on Clean button.
  • Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.
  • download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
  • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message

The new pop up went away and the one I had experienced the first day with the trojan info has not came back. I am hoping this is good news? Thanks again for your help!

It's likely that the rental company is able to find the computer using a GPS program. The popup was likely a scam ad trying to

get you to purchase some "security" program.

If you don't have an ad blocker installed I suggest you use Adblock Plus. Once installed click on its ABP icon at the top of the browser(s)

and choose Filter Preferences. Then UNcheck the box next to Allow some non-intrusive advertisements.

Adblock Plus :: Add-ons for Firefox   Adblock Plus - Chrome Web Store   Adblock Plus for IE  Adblock Plus for Edge browser

Rerun AdwCleaner and be sure to click on Clean when scan finishes.

  • download Security Check by glax24 and save the file to the Desktop
  • Run the tool by accepting all the Security prompts
  • when complete the tool will produce a log file C:\SecurityCheck\SecurityCheck.txt and also copy the contents to the Clipboard
  • Simply Paste the log to your reply
