I am the Famous Hungarians bandleader, and a mostly self taught technologist. I got my start back in 1980 as a tech in the University of Michigan Computer Lab. I worked my way through college at the UM, where I programmed and wrote my papers on a TRS-80, graduating in 1991. I started a digital recording studio with a friend's Mac in 1996, buying my first Apple in 1998. The next day, I found out that my wife-to-be was pregnant, and remarked that "I love this kids timing," cause if I had found out one day earlier, well, I may not have laid out the cash for that machine. I have largely been a Mac man--doing mostly music, videos promotions and advertising--but I also learned several different versions of Window and some Linux. I am now gratefully divorced, and live in Florida, where I am working at a Tech startup with a brilliant engineer who is both a friend and a mentor. I am glad to have this site as a research and learning tool. Glad to meet you, in advance of actually meeting you!
