Hello everyone,

i have some random BSOD. That started a week ago for no obvious reason

(i did a windows update and then reinstalled vagrant/virtual box before that. A clue maybe ?).

What i did so far :
- update the GPU to the last driver version.
- update my chipsets drivers (intel chipset, realtek, lan, usb, + asus random hotfix found on their website).
- update the BIOS to the last version.

- use ccleaner to clean and "repair" the registry.

My config :
- windows 10 pro 64 version 1703 (15063.483) (OEM preinstalled by LDLC)
- mobo : ASUS X99-A II
- CPU: intel core i7-6850K
- GPU : GTX 1070
- RAM : 32g (4x8) DDR4 2133 CL14 (HyperX Fury)

- Power supply : Seasonic P-860 Platinum 80PLUS Platinum

- main disk : Samsung SSD 950 PRO M.2 PCIe 512 Go

Age of the computer: 6 months more or less

- Age of OS installation: same

PS: i had to kill the process "...Waiting for SystemInfo..." then manually zip the folder. It's still ok i hope.

Thank you very much !

Your UEFI/BIOS (version 1401) dates from 2016.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  This is just in case there has been a more recent update.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).

Although you appear to have a reasonable number of Windows Update hotfixes for this version of your OS, please double check for any new Windows Updates.  It only takes one update to cause a problem, so it's essential that you have all of them.  The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

Please update these older drivers.  Links are provided in order to assist you with looking up the source of the drivers.
If unable to find an update, please uninstall the program that is responsible for that driver.

DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable!!!:

First, thank your very much for the time you take helping me, really !

Well, i just updated the bios to the 1701 version (03/31/2017) (last time i trust an auto updater).

I checked the windows update but as you said, i always do it all so that was ok.

My method :  i go in the "windows update parameter" window et click to "search for update" (not litteral, my windows is french).
Correct ? Or a more specific method exist to find ALL the updates ?

Last, i need a little help for the asus drivers etc.
How can i find these drivers ? Simply going on asus support (that you linked) and enter these names (AsUpIO.sys, etc.) in the search field ?

If yes, this website doesn't seems to find anything for the first ones i tried. Normal ?

Yes, to check Windows Update you just open it and tell it to check.

Then you see if it has anything to install (after it installs, check again - just in case there's something else waiting).

Once all the updates have installed AND you haven't seen any errors - then that's all that you can do!

This is the English page for your motherboard and for using Windows 10 x64:  https://www.asus.com/us/support/Download/1/42/3/20/k8gWsYFGRqEWTDqj/45/

I cannot locate the first 2 drivers in your reports, but the dumps say they're located in SYSWow64.

In short, don't mess with them for now.

PCProbe is a part of the AI Suite - so updating the AI Suite will update PC Probe

It should also update the Asus Kernel mode driver

The ASMedia USB 3.0 controller driver will be under the USB heading

And, finally, the Logitech stuff will have to be updated from the Logitech website.

ok, thank you :).

- for the windows updates, i did exaclty that, so it's ok.

- ok, i don't mess with these two drivers...

- I cannot find a most recent version of the AI suite so i desintalled it (checked all the stuff in the desinstall menu).
Good idea or that will not be enough ?

- For the logitech part, i updated my webcam drivers and desinstalled my mouse/keyboard software (i don't need it at all).

Stay the USB controller. I will update it as soon as possible (it's my work pc so i don't have access to it right now) then wait to see if the BSOD are still here.

No more BSOD so far !
That's probably a little early to declare victory but three days without BSOD, that's a huge step.
I had it two times a day before we make these changes.

I hope that will stay like this.
thank you again anyway :).

Hello gain :(.

Unfortunately, the BSODs aren't gone. We just went from three times a day to one time per two days (a little more lately).
I don't know if this slightly better state is linked to our tests or if it is random.

Here is my Whocrashed messages. I just paste one because they are all the sames.

On Tue 29-08-17 10:17:10 your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\082917-9265-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x16C560)
Bugcheck code: 0x101 (0x10, 0x0, 0xFFFFA301DD7EA180, 0x2)
Error: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that an expected clock interrupt on a secondary processor, in a multi-processor system, was not received within the allocated interval.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue).
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

Can you help me to the next step of this bug hunting ? :)

Please zip up and upload the contents of the C:\Windows\Minidump directory.
If unable to zip them there, copy it to your Desktop and zip it up there.

Have you done the hardware tests that I suggested?  This looks to be a hardware problem:

In the event that the above steps don't stop the problems, please start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Please complete ALL of the tests and let us know the results - we'll move on from there.

Basically the same errors as previously.  Still looks like a hardware problem.

Hello,

i did most of the tests  :
- a full memest (+- 5hours).
- a complete HDTune test (benchmark + errors scan) on all my disks + the fast Crystal DiskInfo detection.

- 3 of the malware scans of your list.

- close to one hour of FurMark 4k + antialiasing

- a fast test of prime95

I will launch prime95 all this night and see tomorrow morning if all is still ok.
But so far, no hardware problem detected :/.

I'd suggest the Seagate Seatools test on any hard drives that spin (not SSD's)

Don't forget the Other video tests and the CPU tests.

Good luck!
