File Explorer of Windows 10 will not show all desktop items within Desktop.  This must be simple to fix.  Should I know to watch for some simple option or setting that should be obvious?  File Explorer; left pane to Desktop, right pane shows half the items that are actually on my desktop.  Not a scrolling problem.  Not a columning problem.  Just only see file explorer shows half the items that it should for my Desktop.

There is actually more than one Desktop.

Try looking in C:\Users\Public\Desktop

It is a hidden folder, so you'll need to change your folder options to show hidden files, folders, and drives.

Desktop icons are stored in multiple places, for multiple reasons.

C:\Users\Default\Desktop - Items stored here are created on the desktop of all new accounts.

C:\Users\Public\Desktop - Items stored here are shown on all desktops and required administrative rights to add or delete.

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Desktop - (Where %USERNAME% is replaced with the name of the account you log in with) This is the user's personal desktop.  Items here are only available to that user.
