I would like to explore Linux Mint Cinnamon. I have found a website to download the iso, however I do not know what download mirror to select? (My location is USA)

This is the website I have found for the iso download and the download mirrors are listed: https://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=237

I appreciate your help and recommendation with this initial step (I am 100% a newbie)

Any mirror will work. If you live in the U.S. pick any of the mirrors and if you know you are close to any listed use that one.

I have used the Harvard School of Engineering without any problems but yeah I would think most of them would be fine.

Hiya Nick! Let the fun begin! The mirror directive worked, Linux Mint is now on a flash drive and tested out on an old Toshiba laptop that used to have Vista installed. Now then, I feel like I will start a new thread: Linux Mint Cinnamon ~ Now What!

Oh...I'm toying with this avatar for my signature: linuxme.jpg

Why not!  :lmao:

Hey softeyes,

Cute Avatar.

You will enjoy your new adventure of Linux mint.

Most laptops that can run Windows Vista should run Linux Mint easily.

Out of the box Linux Mint is pretty much feature rich and easy to navigate.

This website has been very helpful to me if for no other reason than just for information purposes.

Have fun.

@ The-Toolman ~ Thank you so much for the Easy Linux Tips website! I have taken a peep through it and no doubt, it will prove to be a very useful source for me. I also appreciate your thoughtful welcome greetings!

Did I start a trend? Of course you did! Why not follow the leader  :lmao:

Good idea,  A new thread will start! Are you planning to install it on that Vista PC. Yes, that's my plan. For now my goal is to start with a boot USB to check it out.
