My router suddenly stopped working and I'm not sure what could be the issue. I connect different computers to the modem's LAN which is working completely fine. My modem has a WAN port and so does the router which is how the network was setup originally and it was working fine (this isn't a new network has been like this for years). I have connected the router's WAN port to the Modem's LAN which is currently working and the wireless is working through this way. But I wanted to figure out why the WAN (modem) to WAN (router) isn't working all of a sudden but the LAN (modem) to WAN (router) is and if it matters at all that I connect the router to the modems LAN instead of WAN.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks for you help!
