Hi,

So I've getting a lot of BSOD recently, sometimes I get multiple BSOD in the same day. It seem to only happen when idle or when I have file explorer and task manager open.

This is what I've been getting:

SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED SynTP.sys

IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION

UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP

Also, I was here a few months ago for a different issue  and the screen thing I mentioned there happened again. I would also like to mention that after troubleshooting in that topic, whenever I open task manger I notice four COM Surrogate running under Background Processes and then a second later I only see two COM Surrogate running. I believe Windows Repair All-in-One caused this.

· OS - Windows 10 x64
· What was original installed OS on system?

I think it was windows 8.1
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)?

pre-installed
· Age of system (hardware)

It says I installed chrome in 2015 so 2 years (wow time goes fast)
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS?

No, I just upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10 using the free upgrade

· CPU & video card - AMD A6-6310 APU with AMD Radeon R4 Graphics
· Toshiba
· Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom)

part number? PSCLEU-004002

· It's a laptop

I ran the 3 latest memory dumps.

The latest one is from April, so we have to take that analysis with a grain of salt.

A memory dump from 3 months ago may not have any bearing on the problems that you're having now.

The memory dumps do seem to have a pattern that's seen with hardware/low-level drivers/compatibility issues.

This combined with your description of the varying BSOD errors is very suggestive of a hardware problem.

Please start with these free hardware diagnsotics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Please finish ALL of the tests and let us know the results - then we'll move on from there.

Your UEFI/BIOS (version 5.10) dates from 2013.  Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system.  If you are able to install the update through Windows (without booting from an external drive), then go ahead and update it.  WARNING - if the computer might shut down during this procedure, please don't do it, as this may physically damage the computer and prevent it from booting.
FYI - W8 and W10 communicate more with the UEFI/BIOS than previous versions of Windows, so it's important to ensure that the UEFI/BIOS is kept up to date (and that outdated UEFI/BIOS' may be the cause of some compatibility issues).

Only 9 Windows Update hotfixes installed.  Most build 14393 (1607) systems have more than this.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available Windows Updates.
The actual number is not important.  Rather it's important that you checked manually, installed any available updates, and didn't experience any errors when checking or updating.

Device Manager shows problems with this device:

Not Available    ACPI\SMB0001\4&AABD16&0    The drivers for this device are not installed.

This seems to be the Synaptics Touchpad driver for your system.

Please visit the Toshiba support site for your model to download/install the latest, W10 compatible drivers for this device.

Pay particular attention to the version # - as there are several Synaptics drivers with identical dates listed.

Also, please run the Toshiba Service Station tool to ensure that all the latest, available updates are installed.
This is sometimes a long process which tends to go faster if using a wired connection (if you're able).

The WER section of the MSINFO32 report shows 7 BSOD's, and around 69 Live Kernel Events.
Again, this is another symptom of a hardware problem.

I also see video problems and BADDUMPFILE problems in there (?video/HDD hardware problems?)

Finally, the memory dumps (analysis below) have signs of hardware problems also.
And, just because things aren't real easy - these reports implicate memory.

The system contains memory in:

- hard drive (swapfile/pagefile)

- RAM

- video RAM

- motherboard

- CPU
